What is PADP?
PADP is extra money for people over 66 in Scotland who need help with daily life due to a physical or mental health condition.
It’s tax-free and not means-tested, and you can spend it however you like – on care, transport, heating, or whatever helps most.
As of April 2025, Attendance Allowance no longer exists in Scotland. It’s now PADP.
You could receive up to
£5,741
per year
If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland you will need to apply for Attendance Allowance
